Boat Yard Study Oil on Paper.
I haven't painted any boats in awhile. I painted this quick sketch
this morning on card stock taped to my clipboard. This is my warmup
just to get the brush going. I am happy with the results of this sketch
as I started out with using 3 values of gray and then painting over
the gray with color. To make this an "A" painting I would eliminate
all of the value shifts in the foreground and let the focus of the painting
be about the boats. I would also crop in a little bit more. See Below.
