Bailey House Series

Bailey House 6x 8 Oil on Panel.

I'm happy with this painting as I spent only a half hour
or so from start to finish. I was reading in my Bay Area
Figurative Art 1950-1965 book about some of the ways
the articed practiced their art. One exercise is to do a painting in
a half hour or less. The exercise is meant to reduce the
hesitation factor when you paint and helps you gain
confidence as a painter. I wasn't really interested in doing
a finished painting per se as I was more interested in putting
the paint down once and leaving it alone. I think this is a
great exercise for plein air painters. Try it now!!!
