Bailey House Springtime Study

Bailey House Springtime Study - 6 x 8 Oil on panel.
After looking and studying some Edgar Payne paintings
today my goal was to use more colors in the dark and
light pattern of the painting. I've painted this scene before
and I like this one the best because it has an impressionistic
feel to it. I used a purple block in for the overall shape and
then I used different colors but the same values in the light
and dark shapes. Lesson learned- Use a variety of colors in
the lights and darks. Thanks Edgar.
